2. Don’t Do A Lot At Once

3. Follow A Checklist

Many people tend to make to-do lists; they can build lists for everything, including routine daily chores. This is a perfect way to order the day and visualize progress. Don’t hesitate to add any little tasks such as “eat breakfast” or “feed the cat”. You’ll most likely do these tasks first because they are easy to do, and you’ll get a feeling of satisfaction afterward. Why not pamper yourself with some dopamine?

4.Track Distractions

Going to get a cup of coffee from the kitchen or talking to a colleague will disorder your thoughts and break down your focus. Mute your telephone and use your headphones to silence the world around and thus minimize disturbances.

5. Eat The Frog In The Morning

Sounds weird, doesn’t it? It’s about the saying Mark Twain used to refer to the hardest task of the day: the green frog. And when you’re done with it first thing in the morning, the worst part has been dealt with! Imagine what immense relief will follow for the rest of the day.

On the other hand, maybe your most productive mood is at the end of the day. We all know deep down that you are going to postpone the task, considering the evening the best time for it. Resist that temptation or fall in to it. It is your choice. Nonetheless, keep in mind that great goals need more self-trust and commitment, and these two don’t emerge in one’s character easily; long story short, don’t pity yourself and listen to Mark Twain. 6. Determine The Best Working Conditions For Yourself.

Adjust the setting to help your brain concentrate. If you want to listen to the music in the background, buy a decent pair of headphones that don’t harm your ears. 7. Take Periodic Breaks On Time.

Pausing tends to be a waste of time in most situations, but the word “periodic” implies order and discipline as opposed to random breaks provoked by distractions and slacker. You can keep working on the scheduled breaks to keep the momentum, though.

The other part of this rule is that in less than two minutes, you may build any habit. It can also be used to plan a large project. You can prepare your items or software and clean up the workspace in those two minutes before, say, beginning to write a long essay.

9. Set Your Own Deadlines

Self-restraint in work is not necessarily a bad practice if applied wisely. Short intervals aren’t as exhausting as periods of a few hours, so you won’t get a headache from a monotonous gig.

The trick is, in fact, to set yourself a measurable indicator of work to do during the said periods – if your work can be expressed in volume or a stack of checklist items (which it usually is). You will work quicker and more efficiently so that after completing the Job you can have yourself a glass of wine as a real winner.

Your unshakeable focus is good on its own, but it certainly could use some help from the 21st-century technological advancements. Namely, the software that can help you keep organized. As previously mentioned, checklists are the easiest and most efficient way to maximize productivity.
