Pakistan is a country in South Asia and is undoubtedly one of the most underrated tourist destinations. It has must-see attractions you need to know about, such as the beautiful Nanga Parbat, Neelum Valley, Kaghan Valley, Fairy Meadow, and K2. This land of heritage, history, rich culture, and natural beauty offers numerous beautiful sights for travelers to enjoy.

However, knowing the best time to travel to this country is essential. Let’s find out!

1. When To Go To Pakistan?

It is important to note that Pakistan is divided into two parts, Northern Pakistan and Southern Pakistan, which differ based on climate.

The best time to visit the northern part is during summer and spring. The clear climatic conditions give tourists the ideal opportunity to enjoy sightseeing. Unfortunately, north Pakistan is generally cold, which is not necessarily a deterrent to visiting.

In Islamabad, you can see the Parliament building, the Shah Faisal Mosque, and the President’s House. The ancient city of Lahore consists of the Badshahi Mosque, the Lahore forts, and mausoleums. You can also visit the famous Kim’s Gun, mentioned in the works of Rudyard Kipling and Aitchison College, among other influential sources.

Southern Pakistan, on the other hand, is very humid and hot. The climate is scorching in cities like Lahore, Bahawalpur, Multan, and Karachi. Ideally, it would be best to visit southern Pakistan in the winter. Many cultural and historical activities are organized in the southern part during the winter.

During the winter, you should also visit the southern regions of North West Frontier Province, Sind, Balochistan, and Punjab.

2. Local Festivals And Attractions

Pakistan witnesses several religious festivals as well as Father’s Day and Mother’s Day celebrations, which are also famous in other parts of the world. Additionally, there are celebrations such as Eid-ul-Adha and Eid-ul-Fitr, which are significant national holidays.

Iqbal Day, celebrated on November 9, witnesses annual celebrations in the form of poetry readings, ceremonies, and cultural events. Pakistan Day on May 5, Kashmir Solidarity Day on February 5, and Love Muhammad Day on September 21 are among the holidays celebrated across the country.

If you want to enjoy the country’s beautiful culture, we recommend you choose some of these dates to visit Pakistan and be a part of one of its leading cultural celebrations.

But remember that to visit Pakistan, you will probably need to apply for a Pakistan eVisa. This document is valid for three months and allows visitors to stay in Pakistan for up to 30 days on a single-entry basis.

Some foreigners may apply for a visa on arrival in certain countries. Even so, it is essential to check before traveling, as only citizens of 65 countries can enjoy this benefit.

To process your visa online, iVisa’s team of experts will help you with everything you need and provide you with all the information for a successful visa application.
