As TV Streaming Services Grow, Consumers Looking For Bundled Option

TV Streaming Services Grow

Cutting the cord was a huge trend that really caught on for many years. It sounded simple; pick a streaming service or two, then cancel your cable subscription. What could go wrong? Well creators from all over the country, from independent companies, to cable companies, to major TV channels have entered the streaming space. There are close to fifty streaming services in the United States, Canada, and Mexico alone. How could anyone choose which services are best for them in a growing, but oversaturated market?

Too Many Streaming Options

With close to fifty streaming services in the United States, Canada, and Mexico alone, there’s just too many streaming options on the market for the average consumer. Not only do consumers need to sift through all of their options, but then subscribe to multiple services to replace one service from before. With more homework researching services and more bills, there has to be a better way.

Simplicity From Bundles Sought After Again

Consumers love options, but not so many options that it makes getting what they want a hassle. Companies like AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon are listening and taking note by offering bundled services in a new more desirable way. Bundles are easier to shop for, have extra savings and create less monthly bills. Convenience and time saving are huge factors to why consumers miss having bundle options.

Streaming Service Bundles

So back by popular demand, service bundles are coming back! Now consumers can get bundle packages that include home internet and streaming or wireless phone service and streaming. It’s worth noting that TV, internet and phone bundles haven’t really left, but are advertised less often.

Internet + Streaming Bundles

Internet and streaming bundles are super uncommon, but we suspect these type of bundles will start increasing in popularity. At the time of this article AT&T, Frontier, Dish TV, and Verizon Fios all have some sort of home internet and streaming bundles. Cable companies have been losing revenue since the cutting the cord trend blew up and this is one way they’re now trying to recoup some of their losses.

Bundle Internet Details Streaming Details Price

Wireless + Streaming Bundles

Wireless and streaming bundles have been around for a few years, but wireless providers have been offering more enticing deals. Streaming is often included as a wireless add-on, with other desirable add-ons as well like unlimited data and hotspot usage. At the time of this article legacy Sprint customers, and current T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless customers can get a wireless and streaming bundle. AT&T is not currently offering such a deal. Wireless providers know that most people who have smartphones, aren’t addicted to them for their talking ability. Streaming is a top priority for most of their customers and they’re capitalizing on it big by attracting new customers.

Bundle Wireless Details Streaming Details Price
Sprint + Hulu – Unlimited talk, text and 5G data – Hulu included – $70 per line, per month
T-Mobile + Netflix – Unlimited talk, text and 5G data – Netflix included – $85 per line, per month
